Your Day at Lowe’s As a Customer Service Associate, you will welcome customers toLowe’s and help them find the right products and services for theirhome improvement needs. You will interact with customers throughoutthe day, help them find and select products, occasionally loadmerchandise, and ensure all customer needs are met. While you will spend most of your time listening to customers,answering questions, and organizing merchandise, your dailyresponsibilities may vary by department. Customer Service Associates work in one of the followingdepartments, based on hiring needs and skillsets: Appliances,Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Inside Garden, Hardware, Tools,Millwork, Building Materials, Plumbing, Electrical, Paint, HomeDcor, Tool Rental, or Pro Services. Key Responsibilities Welcome customers to Lowe’s, answer questions, and deliverfriendly and professional customer service. Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise Down stock merchandise by looking for empty areas on shelvesand replenishing supplies Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receivemerchandise as expected and on time Cross-functionally train in other areas of the store to helpdeliver the best customer service Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs(e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundlewood, cut drywall, cut blinds) Guide customers through shopping or checkout Complete other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting,accessing, modifying, or outputting information 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such assmart phones and tablets Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition andsubtraction) Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing,sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or withoutan accommodation Preferred Qualifications 6 months of Retail and/or customer service experience Bi-lingual skills Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware,kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/buildingmaterials) Lowe’s commitment to growth and teamwork extends to the communityas well. Travel Requirements This role does not require regular travel; however, this role mayneed to travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to supportneighboring stores. Working Conditions Environmental factors vary by location. You may be working in bothinside and outside weather conditions. Exposure to varyingclimates, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy,or drafty conditions, is possible. You may be exposed to constantor intermittent noises in addition to moving or shaking objects andequipment. Lifting methods vary based on role, weight, and volume. Associatesmust follow guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds. Teamlifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
