Donut Shop Team Member Captain Baker Donut Shop West Dennis, MA 02670 Job Overview We are seeking a person to join our staff. This person has the opportunity to grow into the Assistant Manager position. This person should have front of house and back of house experience. In this role, you will be responsible for making and decorating delicious donuts and making egg sandwiches to order on the grill that delight our customers. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that each product meets our high standards of quality and taste. A strong emphasis on food safety, customer service, and working in a team environment is essential as you engage with customers and other staff to contribute to a positive dining experience. This position will learn the daily operations and multiple stations of the donut shop: order taking, donut making, donut decorating, sandwiches made on the grill, coffee station. The Donut Shop is open off-season Thursday thru Monday 7-noon, working hours are 6:30 to 1:00 for 3 days and 5:00am to 1:00 for 2 days a week to make the donuts. The shop is open 7 days a week in the summertime. This position is for 5 days a week (less than 5 days may be accomodated) Duties Knowledge of every station to work these stations the off season and summer season. Make donuts on the donut machine according to the instructions for mixing the dough and running the machine. Make egg sandwiches on the grill assuring consistency of the sandwiches when necessary Always maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards at all times. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and answering any questions regarding our products. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies needed for the grill station. Collaborate and work well with team members to maintain a smooth workflow during busy periods, ensuring timely service. 2 Days a week start early and open the shop; make donuts and start up the grill Qualifications Previous experience in the food industry in both front and back if house. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and food handling regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor when interacting with patrons. Proficiency with kitchen tools including knives and other equipment. A passion for creating high-quality baked goods and an eagerness to learn new techniques in donut making.
