Sales Associate/ Part Time $17.00 per hour 3.1 3.1 out of 5 stars 316 Route 28, West Yarmouth, MA 02673 GENERAL SUMMARY The Sales Associate assists the store manager in all aspects of store operations, including customer service, donation processing, and opening and closing of store.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Opens and closes store as needed Processes customer transactions on POS system Responds to customer and donation inquiry emails and phone calls Provides top-class customer service in store, email, and over the phone Assists customers with loading of purchases Takes pictures of store merchandise Prices products, and performs regular inventory checks Makes sure all signage is up to date daily Faces products and checks sell by dates on perishable pantry items Maintains clean and organized sales floor for displaying items Works with job coaches to provide job training and mentorship for the individuals we serve Maintains an encouraging and positive work environment Attends all staff meetings, trainings and development activities, as required Serves as mandated reporter for suspected cases of abuse and/or neglect to the Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC)
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May assist with end of day banking procedures May assist with agency events May assist at other Cape Abilities retail locations, such as Cape Abilities Farm Performs additional duties, as assigned
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Frequent walking, standing, bending and twisting Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds Ability to work with sharp instruments/tools Occasional exposure to inclement weather
