Operations Manager / Team Lead Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Associate to join our dynamic team within the cannabis retail industry. This role is primarily responsible for supporting the flow of inventory operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and assisting in maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our fulfillment and vault processes. The ideal candidate is organized, accountable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Daily Operations Perform opening and closing operational tasks in alignment with company SOPs. Process and fulfill online customer pick-up orders and in-store kiosk purchases. Assist customers with product-related inquiries, including ingredients, harvest/package dates, and cannabinoid content. Inventory Management Assist with incoming deliveries: count packages, verify quantities, confirm expiration dates, and ensure product compliance with state regulations. Conduct weekly inventory audits and maintain accurate count records. Track and report inventory discrepancies and support virtual inventory movements in METRC under manager direction. Refill fulfillment vaults based on real-time POS thresholds and maintain appropriate stock levels. Product Preparation & Fulfillment Organize and maintain the vault by condensing bins, categorizing products by vendor, item, and strain type. Label products accurately with required information (e.g., testing data, expiration dates, potency, terpenes). Ensure new products are prepared for sale by updating POS with accurate product and testing information. Manage and update key inventory tracking tools: new product lists, 86’d product lists, low stock alerts, and vendor day selections. Compliance & POS Support Accurately input testing data into the POS system, including expiration dates, cannabinoid profiles, strain classification, and TAC. Turn product availability on/off in the POS system based on direction from leads or management (e.g., bundles, vendor day promotions). Support inventory waste tracking and documentation as required. Qualifications & Skills Previous experience in retail operations or inventory fulfillment in the cannabis industry required. Familiarity with METRC or similar cannabis tracking systems is a plus. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment. Comfortable lifting/moving boxes and managing physical inventory tasks. Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule including weekends or evenings. Working Conditions This role involves standing, walking, lifting up to 40 lbs, and repetitive tasks. Must meet state requirements for cannabis industry employment, including age and background checks.
Pay range:
$17 to $19 per hour Required skills High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) Previous experience in retail operations or inventory fulfillment in the cannabis industry required.
