Retail & Administrative Associate Description:

Part time Retail / Administrative Associate We are looking for one part time (15-20 hours / week at this time) Retail & Administrative Associate(s) to help in a variety f tasks, as necessary. Stitch and Tickle is a small lifestyle retail boutique and handmade leather bag studio located in the heart of Sowa, Boston. We make our own line of leather bags on site and in addition, source items that are ethically produced, primarily handmade or designed/made by other small businesses. A vast majority of our productse from women owned businesses and are handmade. Our goal is to offer items that are unique, timeless and beautiful, toplement our own line of products. We thrive to provide a unique shopping experience and excellent customer service to our wide range of customers, both in-store and online.

Qualifications:

you: You are enthusiastic about Stitch and Tickle’s vision and aesthetics; You are friendly, enjoy dealing with customers and selling; You can manage a high customer traffic on market days while still providing great customer service; You are reliable and timely; You have a can-do attitude, are a hard worker & able to work independently; You are able to multitask, solve problems, and finish your work in a timely fashion; You pay superior attention to details, areanized andfortable performing tasks on theputer; You are able and willing to work at least every other weekend plus a 1-2 weekdays a week. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) :

  • Open and close the shop on your own,
  • Greet and engage customers. information about the products as needed and try to generate sales;
  • Pack and ship web orders ;
  • Receive inventory in Shopify and merchandise in the shop;
  • Maintain the including listing creation, writing copy,anizing collections (we use Shopify and will train the right person);
  • Make weekly marketing emails (Photography and editing experience a plus);
  • with Social Media posts;
  • Regular restocking, merchandising and cleanup of the shop & studio +anizing of stock shelves;
  • Some assistance with leatherworking as needed and/or if time allows(will train
  • primarily preparing and finishing).

Hourly rate $18-22 based on skills & experience.
