ASAP We are seeking an Inside Sales Associate for a Temp-to-Hire position with our client, a locally owned, high-quality retail and production business located in Lewiston, Maine. The Inside Sales Associate will be the primary point of contact for walk-in and phone customers, providing support for order fulfillment and product inquiries. The ideal candidate will serve as the welcoming face of the store and play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service. This is a customer-facing position with no cold calling, where success is defined by professionalism, initiative, and accu racy in order fulfillment. As an Inside Sales Associate, you will be responsible for: Assisting walk-in customers with product selection and checkout
Providing excellent customer service with a friendly, professional demeanor
Fulfilling orders received by phone, website, or outside sales reps
Picking products from the retail floor and preparing them for shipping
Contacting customers to clarify or complete order details
Staying informed about inventory levels, specials, and product offerings
Navigating between retail and production areas to fulfill order needs The ideal candidate for this role will have: A high school diploma or equivalent
Experience in customer service, retail, or order processing (preferred but not required)
Strong attention to detail and legible handwriting
Professional appearance and communication skills
Comfort speaking on the phone to clarify orders (no sales calls)
Ability to read and follow written instructions accurately
Motivation, accountability, and a strong work ethic
Physical ability to walk up and down stairs regularly during shifts
