N/A About CMFCAA The Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption Association is a not-for-profit agency that educates, supports, and advocates for foster, adoptive, & kinship children, youth, & families in central Missouri by offering services & partnering with community & governmental agencies to develop healthy & self-sufficient individuals & families. Currently, we are assisting over 640 foster families, over 1400 foster children, over 400 adopted children in our service area. Our goal is to be a support to the families, children and youth in this area, and we work tirelessly to provide much needed services to them. Position Summary CMFCAA’s Trunk Sales Associates perform many duties around the store, though store associates focusing on donations & customer service. Sales associates at CMFCAA greet customers, help them find merchandise, and checkout final purchases. Employees with CMFCAA often perform other duties throughout the store, such as stocking products, cleaning the store, and sorting through donated items. CMFCAA Trunk Associates must stay patient, courteous, and accommodating to both customers and coworkers alike. Job Description Operate the Trunk as a store front resource o Set up for public access o Register new clients o Explain CMFCAA services to the public Work cooperatively with the Trunk Supervisor to develop and implement operation of the Trunk o Stay abreast of events and scheduling o Provide observational feedback as needed o Follow chain of command should any emergent situation or need arises Retail/sales responsibilities o Assist clients with finding merchandise o Maintain adequate inventory within trunk o Complete checkout responsibilities o Ensure store is cleaned and inviting Maintain trunk department inventory o Process donations in coordination with Direct Services, o Sorting, washing, hanging, and folding clothing o Inventory items appropriately Collaborate with other CMFCAA programs, particularly Direct Services, to ensure standardization of all clothing closet practices, coordination and communication of inventory, etc. o Participate in trunk team meetings o Collaborate to improve services Collect data from all families who utilize the Trunk o Enter data on a daily log o Maintain all records for documentation purposes o Ensure all data is entered by last day of each month
Qualifications/Credentials:
Valid driver’s license Ability to lift 50 lbs. 1-year computerized data management Customer service/retail experience (preferred) Knowledge of foster & adoptive care (preferred) Reliable transportation required Background checks are required
