Sales Associate 2.5 2.5 out of 5 stars 825 South Lindbergh Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63131 Forshaw has an immediate opening for a part time salesperson. As part of the sales team, you would closely with other salespeople and store managers to deliver a best in class store experience for our customers. Previous sales experience selling large ticket items (average order size > $1,000) is required for this role. We will train you on our products and systems, but you will need to be able to learn as you go and not be intimidated by not knowing everything before you close your first sale. We sell products for the home: patio furniture, outdoor grills, firepits, and fireplaces. We have a long history in the community with a name for quality products and service. The business is family-owned and the family is actively involved in the day to day operations of the business. We are looking for a team member who can work Sunday or Saturday, as well as Wednesday and Thursday (the ideal candidate can work both Saturday and Sunday). We operate a fixed schedule, you will work the same days each week. Most of our sales happen on weekends, so salespeople who work weekends tend to make more commission than others. We pay a base hourly rate plus commission starting at the first dollar (no draw). Forshaw is family owned and operated. The family cares about all our employees’ success. Responsibilities Assist customers with product inquiries and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their shopping experience. Operate the cash register efficiently, handling cash and processing transactions accurately. Collaborate with sales team members to optimize stock levels and ensure merchandise is well-displayed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, including stocking shelves and arranging products. Utilize basic math skills for inventory management and sales reporting.
