Job Summary:
As a Budtender, you will be the face of our dispensary, assisting patients with product selection, ensuring compliance with Mississippi state regulations, and creating a positive and informative experience. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment that requires precision, compassion, customer service, empathy, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet and assist patients with a friendly and professional attitude Provide detailed product knowledge and guidance tailored to individual needs Foster a welcoming environment for returning and first-time patients.
Compliance:
Adhere to all Mississippi medical cannabis regulations and company policies Accurately verify patient credentials and ensure proper documentation Maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA standards
Inventory & Product Management:
Assist in receiving, organizing, and tracking inventory Keep displays and storage areas clean, organized, and compliant Monitor product expiration dates and ensure proper rotation
Cash Handling:
Accurately process transactions through POS system Balance cash drawers at the start and end of shifts Follow all protocols for secure and compliant financial handling
Cannabis Knowledge:
Stay current on all products, strains, terpenes, consumption methods, and effects Educate patients on proper usage and dosage based on their medical needs Participate in ongoing training and vendor events
Requirements:
Must be 21+ years of age Valid Mississippi medical marijuana work permit or ability to obtain one Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service preferred Strong knowledge or passion for cannabis and its therapeutic applications Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 25 lbs Why Join Us?
