 N/A Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Must be compassionate, energetic, proactive, dependable with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, visitor and staff. Must have a high level of integrity, resourcefulness and problem solving ability. Must be able to consistently maintain confidentiality and service excellence. Basic computer skills, effective problem solving, exceptional customer service skills, ability to multitask and stay in motion for long periods of time which are essential. Knowledge of healthcare is necessary. Functions as a central liaison for the patients and family members within the medical center by maintaining safety protocols and outstanding first and last impressions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Screens and greets patients, visitors, vendors and staff at hospital entrances; delivering exceptional first and last impressions of the organization. Maintain customer focus, safety and service excellence standards at all times.
Provides PPE, hand hygiene and/or other necessary items per protocol to patients, visitors, and staff as appropriate.
Facilitates wayfinding and escort services to ensure patients are delivered to the correct location quickly and efficiently. Directs visitors and vendors to specific locations.
Utilizes appropriate chain of command to report and resolve safety and process issues. Empowers self and other team members by modeling the way in doing what is best for staff, patients and their visitors and family members.
Prioritizes patient safety and confidentiality.
Cleans and sanitizes surfaces, equipment, and wheelchairs. Monitors cleanliness and restocks supplies as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned. The duties listed are general in nature and are examples of the duties and responsibilities performed and are not meant to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Management retains the right to add or change duties at any time.

Environmental and Physical Demands:

Requires constant exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and exposure to heat and cold, occasional handling or working with potentially dangerous equipment, occasional working hours beyond regularly scheduled hours, no travelling to offsite locations, constant activities subject to significant volume changes of a seasonal/clinical nature, frequent work produced is subject to precise measures of quantity and quality, constant bending, frequent lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds, frequent lifting/carrying up to 25 pounds, occasional lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds, occasional lifting/carrying up to 75 pounds, no lifting/carrying up to100 pounds, no lifting/carrying 100 pounds or more, no climbing, no crawling, frequent crouching/stooping, occasional driving, frequent kneeling,constant pushing/pulling, constant reaching, frequent sitting,constant standing,constant twisting, and constant walking.
