Position Title:

Cashier, Retail Store Position Summary:

This position ensures customers receive high quality products and services.

Success Criteria:

• Cusomers leave the store happy with the products, knowledge and services they received.
• Store is meeting identified metrics: o Customer counts have increased (including new customers).

o Ticket counts have increased.

• Provide service to customers, answering questions, and asking for clarification to best address their needs.
• Be present with customers without distraction.
• Listen to and be attentive to customer needs.
• Connect and engage with customers through discussion and getting to know more about them, their operations, and their needs.
• Ensure information shared with customers is accurate and helpful.
• Accurately move and pull products.
• Ensure customer orders are correct.

Qualifications Strong customer service and communication skills Proficient in cash handling and operating cash registers Experience in retail sales and stocking merchandise Basic math skills and familiarity with retail math Knowledge of POS systems and phone etiquette Ability to upsell and conduct product demonstrations Relevant experience in a grocery store setting is a plus Lawn and Garden Experience Animal health
