Position Summary:

The UPS Store, Inc.is comprised of approximately 5,200 independently owned locations in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Canada, providing convenient and value-added business services to the small-office/home-office market, corporate “road warriors,” and consumers. Our centers offer a variety of shipping, freight, postal, printing, document, and business services through convenient locations and world-class service. The UPS Store locations in Arden, Hendersonville, Black Mountain, Brevard (North Carolina), Tunnel Road (Asheville), Merrimon Avenue, (Asheville), and Hendersonville Road (South Asheville) operate as a seven-store portfolio with common ownership. We are looking for an energetic store associate and team member who enjoys a creative, fast paced work environment. Ideal candidates are very upbeat, personable and enjoy engaging with customers in a team environment. Team members are responsible for assisting clients with shipping services, advising clients on our print service offerings and providing pricing and product information while executing their responsibilities in a manner that meets our customers’ needs and expectations. The ideal candidate has previous retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, and a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor. They must be a fast learner who will try to learn all aspects of The UPS Store business.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries. Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, store team members, and leadership. Takes ownership of the customer’s needs and offers viable solutions. Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, and industry trends in order to confidently deliver valuable solutions that meet the needs of the customer. Operates all equipment, software, and devices properly and is willing to teach others. Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED required. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites. Outstanding phone skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and math. Prompt, reliable, and responsible. Able to lift 50+ pounds.
