We are looking for a motivated and friendly Pawn Broker/Sales Associate to join our team!
Position Overview:
As a Pawn Broker/Sales Associate, you will be the face of our business, assisting customers with buying, selling, and pawning their valuable items. You’ll help maintain the shop, manage inventory, and ensure a positive shopping experience for every customer. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for learning about various items and their value.
Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with pawning, buying, and selling items. Assess the value of items brought into the shop, including electronics, jewelry, tools, collectibles, and more. Negotiate prices and terms of pawns and sales with customers. Maintain accurate records of transactions and inventory. Keep the store organized, clean, and presentable. Assist with pricing and tagging items for sale. Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations regarding pawn transactions. Handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods securely. Work with the team to meet sales targets and goals.
Qualifications:
Previous retail or customer service experience preferred. Experience in the pawn industry or with assessing the value of items is a plus. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to assess items’ value based on quality, condition, and market trends. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Positive attitude, dependable, and punctual. Must be able to lift and carry items as needed.
