Building Supply Inside Counter Sales Associate Trademark Building Supply 238 Patterson Center Court, Winston-Salem, NC 27105 We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Front Counter Sales Representative to join our team at a busy building supply company. This role requires hands-on experience with residential and commercial exterior building products, including siding, windows, gutters, and doors . The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service, assist both contractors and homeowners, and contribute to the efficient operation of the sales counter.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers at the front counter, by phone, and via email in a professional and courteous manner. Provide expert advice and product knowledge on siding, windows, gutters, doors, and related hardware or accessories. Process sales orders, returns, quotes, and special orders accurately and efficiently using our POS system. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product lines, pricing, inventory availability, and lead times. Work closely with outside sales staff and warehouse team to ensure smooth order fulfillment and delivery. Handle customer concerns or product issues promptly and effectively. Assist in merchandising, stocking, and maintaining a clean and organized counter area. Stay informed on new products, market trends, and building codes as they relate to our offerings.
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of siding, windows, gutters, and doors (brands, materials, applications, installation basics). Excellent communication and customer service skills. Proficient with computers and POS systems (experience with [insert software, if known] is a plus). Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. Must be reliable, punctual, and a team player.
Preferred Qualifications:
