JOB SUMMARY
General Store Associates are actively involved with NOC’s guest experience and are oftentimes, the first point of contact for many of our on-site guests. This guest facing role focuses on delivering exceptional guest service while answering questions and assisting with lodging check-in and General Store purchases. In addition, General Store Associates must be proactive in helping our guests and are also expected to help stock product and ensure a clean and safe work environment. This position is classified as seasonal and NOC is looking for individuals that can join us for our upcoming 2025 season. These positions will start between March and April of 2025 depending on business need. Hours will vary week to week based on business demands. Our peak season at NOC is from Memorial Day to Labor Day but this job can potentially run through the end of the year based on staffing needs. Responsibilities
Ensure extraordinary guest service with enthusiasm and attention to detail. Assist guests as needed.
Offer accurate product information and make product suggestions to guests based on individual guest needs
Process Point of Sale (POS) transactions accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established NOC policies and procedures
Maintain store visual appearance, and uphold personal appearance standards set within NOC’s handbook
Keep General Store and food preparation area stocked and clean; replenish as needed
Answer phones and check voicemails daily and respond to guests promptly
Communicate with management staff regularly to ensure open channels of communication
Assist guests with lodging information and book reservations including, but not limited to, assigning room keys and assembling lodging packets
Complete opening and closing tasks as shift dictates
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required
Must be 18 years of age
Preferred
Prior experience with customer service and/or sales
Prior cash handling experience Applicants must
Maintain a high level of professionalism with superb communication skills Have a professional appearance and attitude
Sustain productive work with little supervision
Exhibit good judgement in decision-making Be able to troubleshoot and problem solve
Have strong interpersonal skills
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must have the ability to lift 40lbs on a regular basis
Must speak clearly and concisely Must be able to bend, stoop and twist
Daily use of phone, computer and other office equipment
