In this role, you will be the face of our sporting goods store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience. You will engage with customers, assist them in finding products, and contribute to achieving sales targets. Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits. Handle cash transactions accurately using the cash register. Maintain knowledge of current sales promotions and product offerings. Upsell products by understanding customer needs and recommending suitable items. Supervise junior staff members when necessary, ensuring adherence to store policies. Assist in inventory management, including restocking shelves and organizing displays. Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction. Skills Proven experience in retail sales or a similar customer-facing role. Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to upsell products effectively by understanding customer preferences. Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers. Familiarity with operating cash registers and point-of-sale systems. A proactive attitude towards supervising team members when required. Demonstrated ability to conduct engaging product demos that attract customer interest.
