JP’s Pastry founder Joe Parker’s heart and passion for service and his love of food led to creating JP’s Pastry, providing products that allow everyone to feel included. JP’s Pastry now offers a variety of gluten free baked goods and meals. Primary Purpose Lead the Raleigh store and be responsible for opening and closing. Responsible for providing excellent customer service, checking customers out, maintaining the store properly stocked, answering questions, and maintaining proper records and inventory. Duties & Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service by being fast, friendly, and knowledgeable Build knowledge base of allergies and allergens to properly answer customer questions Follow all JP’s Pastry policies and procedures Assist, as necessary, to train, schedule, and maintain a qualified team Ensure achievement of sales and profit goals Ensure store shelves and merchandisers are properly stocked at all times Rotate stock properly to avoid product spoilage Maintain proper cash register records Maintain a complete understanding of and adherence to company guidelines, policies and procedures Understand and follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures Report all employee and customer accidents timely Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations Maintain a neat and clean appearance while adhering to the JP’s Pastry dress code Perform all other duties as assigned Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent preferred Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job Ability to use technical information to solve problems Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations Physical Requirements Ability to use computers and other communication systems required to perform job functions Perform repetitive hand and arm motions Bend and lift products weighing up to 15 lbs. continuously, 25 lbs. frequently, and 50 lbs. on occasion Stand 100% of the time, frequently walking short distances Be able to handle a variety of substances associated with cleaning and packaging materials Use hands to frequently/continuously handle currency (paper and coin) as well as operate a variety of equipment such as cash register, computer, and credit card machine. Ability to operate and troubleshoot a computer, modem, and Wi-Fi network.
