Multitask on cashier, sales, and merchandisingresponsibilities Respond quickly and resourcefully to customer requests andconcerns Create a positive, inviting environment for customers Understand and use basic selling skills to engage and presentsolutions Handle returns and online pick-ups Be flexible on responsibilities (e.g., cleaning, stockingshelves, other duties as assigned) Essential skills and experience: Able to work a flexible schedule based on the stores needs Must be able to and want to engage with customers andunderstand their needs Ability to collaborate and work cooperatively in a high pacedand sometimes stressful environment Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational andcooperative manner Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customerand business information Ability to lift/move materials in the 10 – 50 pound range,climbladders, stand and walk continuously Preferred but not required: customer service or cashierexperience in a retail environment Staples does not sponsorapplicants for work visas for this position.
