Job Overview As a Merchandising Colleague, also known as a Front of HouseColleague, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our store runningsmoothly and efficiently. You will aid in merchandise movement andplacement, enhance the visual presentation of merchandise, arrangeand maintain product displays, ensure pricing and signage isup-to-date and deliver genuine hospitality to both our customersand colleagues. What You Will Do Deliver Customer Service Excellence:

Greet customers warmly,actively listen to their needs, and provide thoughtful assistance.

Take the time to understand their concerns and resolve issuespromptly, ensuring a seamless and positive shoppingexperience.

Visual Merchandising:

Support floor relocations, maintainproduct displays, and update mannequins and visual elements toalign with company directives

Product Placement:

Prepare and display merchandise in avisually appealing manner and replenish stock to maintain anorganized presentation on the sales floor

Pricing & Signing:

Ensure accurate pricing and signagethroughout the store is by regularly using technology to updateproduct prices, promotions, and information on products andfixtures in accordance with company guidelines andpolicies

Sales Support:

Develop expertise in store products, services,loyalty programs, and Macy’s sales systems and use knowledge tohelp customers find what they need, complete sales transactions,and suggest additional items

Store Presentation:

Maintain department recovery standards,including selling floor and fitting rooms

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with colleagues to achievedepartment goals, fostering a supportive and positive workenvironment. Share insights, offer assistance proactively, andaddress challenges early to keep operations running smoothly.

Skills You Will Need Product Knowledge:

Good understanding of the products in the storeand be able to give expert guidance to customers based on theirwants, features, and choices

Customer Service:

Create connection with customers, help the storeachieve sales goals, and participate in sales-boosting events

Technology:

Effectively use point-of-sale technology and digitaltools to streamline transactions and enhance the shoppingexperience

Continuous Learning:

Involves standing for at least two consecutive hours, liftingat least 50lbs., stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbingladders Reaching, including above eye level, crouching, kneeling,stooping and color vision.
