Retail Associate Fishtown Seafood Company 114 Kings Highway East, Haddonfield, NJ 08033 Job Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience in our Seafood Store. This position requires strong communication skills, basic math abilities, and a passion for retail sales. Duties Greet customers warmly and provide assistance throughout their shopping experience. Operate the cash register efficiently, handling cash transactions accurately. Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide appropriate product recommendations. Utilize upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and increase sales. Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to assist customers effectively. Ensure the sales floor is organized, stocked, and visually appealing at all times. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner. Assist in supervising junior staff members when required, fostering a collaborative team environment. Uphold phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries. Requirements Previous experience in retail sales is preferred but not mandatory. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Basic math skills for handling transactions and providing accurate change. Experience with cash handling procedures is a plus. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed. A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the company. Seafood Knowledge a plus but will train.
