Full Job Description Description:

The Pharmacy Sales Associate, under the supervision of the Pharmacy Business Manager, provides excellent customer service by greeting and assisting patients by accepting prescriptions, medication pickups, collecting patient data, and processing transactions. Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities Consistently adheres to all departmental policies and procedures Maintains high level of patient confidentiality according to HIPPA and company standards Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with rules and regulations Exercises excellent customer service by greeting patients and visitors in a prompt, pleasant and helpful manner in person and on the telephone Answers phone calls and requests of patients, healthcare providers, and medical facilities Collects patient demographics and insurance information Operates cash register and assists in maintaining patients records by filing records and prescriptions Supports and effectively communicates with the delivery drivers by providing all necessary information to successfully deliver medications Supports the Pharmacy Business Manager by maintaining and monitoring inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating OTC medication and merchandise orders Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and assessment skills Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work cohesively with a team or independently and build relationships with staff and external partners Ability to operate different equipment such as computers, scan guns and cash registers Knowledge of medical terminology, medication, and dosage measurement Basic mathematical functions in all units of measurement Strong written and verbal communication skills Effective computer skills Supply inventory management skills Education, Training, and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required College credit or additional education in medical field or insurance and billing courses preferred Have a minimum of 1 year experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service field Bilingual English and Spanish required
