Authentication Associate MeiGray Branchburg, NJ 08876 Job Overview MeiGray, the Game-Worn Memorabilia hobby’s leader in Authentication, is now hiring. This is a full-time (Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week) position in our offices in Branchburg, NJ. MeiGray has team partnerships with the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, and Los Angeles Lakers; the WNBA’s Golden State Valkyries; and the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, Minnesota Wild, Nashville Predators, New Jersey Devils, Philadelphia Flyers, and Washington Capitals. Our Authentication Department, which is responsible for conclusively authenticating every item we sell or are asked to register as authentic and game-used, is looking for an entry-level Authentication Associate. A knowledge of the hobby is preferred, but not required. This individual will work in all facets of the authentication process. An Authentication Associate’s main responsibility is to learn and master MeiGray’s process of research, review, and photo-matching. This process relies on photo-matching based on exemplars, photo libraries, periodicals, videos, online searches, and newspapers. Partnered with the knowledge and experience of our senior Authenticators, the process is designed to issue a MeiGray Authenticated designation once we conclusively prove an item was worn/used by a specific player. Responsibilities Training to become an authenticator. Preparing and organizing product arrivals for authentication. Responding to questions and requests from clients via phone and email. Confirming and finalizing authentication orders. Arranging post and deliveries & maintaining departmental supplies. Collaborating with staff in other departments. Skills Ability to observe and absorb the history of authentication research paradigms through active engagement in our workplace. The ability to pay strong attention to detail. The ability to work well with others. The ability to discern when you may work independently, and when guidance is required. The ability to be flexible and open to change. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Previous customer service experience. The ability to use a computer and competency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
