Retail Sales Associate Upstate Down 13 East Market Street, Rhinebeck, NY 12572 Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring the store is well-stocked and organized. You will play a key role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers while driving sales through effective upselling techniques. Duties Greet customers warmly and provide assistance in locating products within the store. Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend products that meet those needs. Utilize upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and increase overall sales. Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor by stocking shelves and arranging displays. Process transactions accurately through cash handling and point-of-sale systems. Answer customer inquiries with professionalism, demonstrating strong phone etiquette when necessary. Assist in inventory management, including receiving shipments and conducting stock checks. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain high standards of customer service. Requirements Ability to work weekends Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers. Basic knowledge of retail math to assist with inventory management and sales tracking. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly. A proactive approach to upselling products and enhancing the customer experience. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
