Overview :

The Store Associate Lead (Key Holder) is responsible for having proficient knowledge of all store areas including, but not limited to, attending the store donation door, processing and sorting donated goods, and assisting customers with purchasing merchandise and cashing out their purchase.

Responsibilities :

Greets and interacts with customers. Demonstrates and explains merchandise, selecting and suggesting options suitable for the customers’ needs, and answers customers’ questions about merchandise. Rotates in different areas throughout the store daily. Collects payment using the store point of sale system. Inspects, sorts and identifies sellable and non-sellable items. Prices and tags goods according to retail policy and restocks sales floor as necessary. Pulls items from sales floor and processes them according to retail policy. Stocks sales floor with goods and ensures the store’s cleanliness and organization. Performs store opening and closing procedures which includes, but is not limited to, ensuring security of the building by locking and setting alarms. Trains Store Associates on job duties as necessary. Travels to other company locations in WNY to assist with coverage as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, and reach for extended periods of time. Able to perform tasks that require repetitive motion (i.e., tagging or hanging clothes). Manual dexterity is required. Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds with no support regularly

Education & Experience:

Minimum of one (1) year of retail experience highly preferred. Experience with leading a team. High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Reliable vehicle with valid NYS driver’s license and the ability to travel to stores in Erie, Niagara and Genesee County. Open availability. Excellent verbal communication skills. Excellent customer service, interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to direct a team following the company’s objectives to meet production goals. Ability to remain professional and composed under pressure. Skilled with achieving production and sale goals. A passion for serving others.
