Description:

We’re hiring a part-time Budtender with strong customer service skills and experience in either cannabis retail or fashion retail . You should be personable, professional, a quick thinker, and thrive in high-pressure, high-volume environments. This role is ideal for someone who’s passionate about cannabis, understands the importance of compliance, and is comfortable with technology and point-of-sale (POS) systems. All applicants must be 21 and up. As a Customer Experience Associate or “Budtender” at our licensed New York State Retail Dispensary, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive, efficient, and educational experience for our patrons. You will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting cannabis products, offering product knowledge, maintaining a clean and organized retail environment. The ideal candidate should have a passion for cannabis, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to compliance with state regulations.

Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner. Provide well-informed product recommendations based on customer preferences, needs, and desired effects. Educate customers on the various strains, products, and consumption methods. Role will require work at front door, at point of sale, and on the sales floor.

Product Knowledge:

Stay informed about the latest cannabis products, strains, and industry trends. Provide accurate and detailed information about the effects, potency, and benefits of different products. Participate in inventory sample trials.

Sales and Transactions:

Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system. Handle cash and electronic payments in accordance with company policies. Upsell and cross-sell products to enhance the customer experience. Package sales at the point of sale.

Compliance:

Adhere to all relevant regulations governing the sale of cannabis products. Verify customer identification and ensure all transactions are legal and compliant. Participate in training provided by employers to keep up-to-date with changes in regulations and company policies.

Inventory Management:

Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and monitoring product expiration dates. Report discrepancies or issues with inventory to the management team.

Store Maintenance:

Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the store at all times. Assist with routine cleaning tasks and maintain a visually appealing retail space. Help with customer flow and store operations as needed. Assist with opening and closing of store duties

Qualifications:

Previous customer service or retail experience, prior cannabis dispensary retail sales experience preferred. Familiarity with cannabis point of sale operating systems preferred, not required. Knowledge and passion for cannabis products and customer service. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Lift and carry up to 25 pounds Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to bend, reach, and twist Must be 21 years of age or older.
