Position Overview:

We are seeking a Shade Design & Sales Support Associate to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, design-minded individual who can assist in creating proposals, advising clients on fabric and shading solutions, and supporting project outreach and administrative efforts. While this is not a technical engineering position, the role will play a critical part in the front-end shading process, supporting both sales and project teams. Commission opportunities a consideration.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and draft basic shading proposals, including product selections and layout summaries. Communicate with clients or their representatives regarding fabric choices, design intent, and basic shade system concepts. Perform outreach to clients, architects, designers, and vendors. Assist with administrative tasks related to shade submittals, quotes, sample requests, and vendor documentation. Maintain fabric sample libraries and stay up to date on current offerings. Coordinate internally with ACS design, sales, and project management teams to ensure proposal alignment. Support the sales team in early-stage design meetings when needed.

Oversight & Support:

Technical meetings, system integration, and complex coordination will remain under the purview of senior staff, including the Director and Project Managers. Over time, this role is expected to grow in technical understanding and potentially evolve into a broader shading design and coordination position.

Qualifications:

Background in interior design, architecture, or sales support (lighting/shading experience a plus) Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow up with clients and vendors professionally Detail-oriented with a good eye for design, materials, and presentation Familiarity with Lutron, Crestron, or Somfy shading systems is a plus but not required Basic computer proficiency required. Bluebeam Revu software experience is a plus but not required.
