Art Advisor / Luxury Sales Associate Sorrel Sky Gallery 419 West Broadway, New York, NY 10012 Sorrel Sky Gallery is a nationally known, prestigious high-end gallery. Established in 2002, we represent top artists at multiple locations across the United States, including Durango, CO; Santa Fe, NM; Soho, NY; and East Hampton, NY. After an exciting first year at our Soho, NY location we are expanding our team. We are seeking an experienced, Art Advisor/Luxury Sales Associate who is passionate about sales and driven to provide exceptional client service.

REQUIREMENTS A

minimum of two years’ experience in sales in a high-value fine art or luxury retail location (Tiffany, Cartier, Prada, etc.). A demonstrated track record of exceptional sales performance. Solid communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and connect with people from a variety of backgrounds. Bachelor’s degree in art, business, or a related field. Proficient working with technology, including social media. Highly organized, with the ability to track multiple priorities simultaneously and pivot as business needs require. Ability to perform under pressure, prioritize and address issues in a timely manner. Strong knowledge of Mac Platform. Strong understanding of premiere client service practices. The gallery is open 7 days/week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Full time associates work a regular 5 day/week schedule that includes 1 weekend day. Additional flexibility/availability may be required on weekends, holidays and/or for shows and events. A high level of business and personal integrity. Strong team orientation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Works directly with Gallery Manager and co-workers to ensure success of the Gallery location. Greet all visitors, and attend to clients to facilitate sales. Organize and enter incoming inventory into the gallery’s database. Attend to clients through the complete process of the sale: identifying serious buyers, closing, taking payment, coordinating shipment, follow-up. Build productive and long-term relationships with clientele. Set and achieve sales goals. Suggest ways to improve sales. Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service. Process purchases using POS system. Display inventory in a creative and compelling way. Maintain knowledge of exhibitions, events, and represented artists. Represent the gallery in a professional and knowledgeable manner while conducting sales at exhibitions and events. Maintain order and cleanliness in the gallery. Assist staff with other duties as needed. Compensation indicated is for full-time and includes a base pay +attractive commission. Typical Schedule:

5 days week to include one weekend day.

Typical Hours:

9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Additional days/hours as needed to cover for other associates and/or for special events.

$62,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
