Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and friendly Bilingual Sales Associate to enhance our customer experience and boost sales in our Spanish Harlem store. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish, a passion for sales, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our valued customers. Key Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement:
Greet and assist customers warmly, understanding their needs and recommending products/services that best meet their requirements.
Sales Generation:
Actively promote products, highlight features and benefits, and close sales effectively to achieve individual and team sales targets.
Bilingual Communication:
Fluently converse with and assist both English and Spanish-speaking customers, ensuring a comfortable and comprehensive shopping experience for all.
Product Knowledge:
Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of all products, promotions, and store policies to accurately answer customer inquiries.
Merchandising:
Assist with maintaining an organized, clean, and visually appealing sales floor, including stocking shelves and arranging displays.
Transactions:
Accurately process sales transactions, handle cash, and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system.
Problem Solving:
Address customer concerns and resolve issues professionally and efficiently, escalating when necessary.
Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with other team members to create a positive and productive work environment.
Store Operations:
Assist with opening and closing procedures as needed.
Qualifications:
Bilingual Fluency (Required): Excellent verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish are a must.
Sales Experience:
Proven experience in a retail sales environment, with a track record of achieving sales goals.
Customer Service Excellence:
Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service and build rapport with diverse clientele.
Communication Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Enthusiasm & Proactiveness:
A positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a proactive approach to engaging customers.
Reliability:
Punctual and reliable with a flexible schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to [e.g., 25-30] pounds, and perform other physical tasks associated with a retail environment. High School Diploma or equivalent.
