Retail Sales Associate Geo. C. Birlant & Co. Charleston, SC 29401 Geo. C. Birlant & Co. (Antiques), a prestigious, 103 year-old, family owned business, is seeking a sales associate to join our company. We believe in creating a welcoming, supportive environment where our associates can thrive!

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in art history, history, or a related field is a plus Previous sales experience Experience/knowledge of furniture, antiques, styles, and home decor is a plus but not required Basic Google suite (Drive, Gmail), email, and other computer skills required Previous online sales experience also a plus but not required Basic math and cash-handling skills Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work flexible shifts (some weekends) Strong customer service skills Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Welcoming customers with a friendly demeanor Offering assistance in finding items and making suggestions from our current inventory Maintaining a clean, organized and visually appealing sales floor including arranging displays Answering customer inquiries regarding products and services Providing knowledgeable responses to increase their satisfaction Operating the POS (point of sale) system, processing payments, and managing customer transactions efficiently and accurately Supporting loss-prevention efforts by monitoring the sales floor and reporting suspicious activities Collaborating with fellow sales associates while contributing to a positive team environment Competitive pay, free parking behind the store, lunches provided, paid holidays

$18.50 – $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 26 – 33 per week
