Job Description
Description We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Sales Tax Clerk to join our team in Greenville, South Carolina, 29615, United States within the machinery manufacturing industry. As a Sales Tax Clerk, you will focus on managing tax exemption documentation, maintaining customer databases, and utilizing tax software to ensure compliance with sales tax regulations. Responsibilities
- Gather and organize tax exemption certificates from customers to ensure proper documentation
- Input and update customer information within the database accurately
- Verify the validity of tax exemption documents and resolve discrepancies
- Utilize Avalara software to manage and process sales tax-related data
- Collaborate with internal teams to address customer inquiries regarding tax exemptions
- Conduct research to ensure compliance with sales tax regulations
- Maintain detailed records of tax exemption statuses for auditing purposes
- Assist in troubleshooting issues related to sales tax reporting in the database system
- Ensure timely and accurate entry of tax-related data for reporting purposes Requirements

- Expertise in handling tax exemption certificates and ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
