The Bagger plays a crucial role in providing excellent customer service by efficiently packing groceries and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for our customers. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Duties Pack customer purchases efficiently and securely to prevent damage during transport. Provide friendly and courteous service while interacting with customers at the register. Assist cashiers with scanning items and operating the cash register or POS system as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bagging area, ensuring all supplies are stocked. Upsell products when appropriate, promoting special offers or new items to enhance sales. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout the store. Experience Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not required. Bilingual skills are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers. Familiarity with retail math concepts is beneficial for assisting customers effectively. Strong phone etiquette for handling customer calls when necessary. Experience with cash registers or POS systems is advantageous but can be trained on the job.
