The Men’s Suits Specialist at Dillard’s is a sales-driven, customer-focused individual responsible for providing expert guidance and exceptional service to customers seeking men’s formalwear and suiting. This role requires in-depth product knowledge, a keen eye for style and fit, and the ability to build lasting client relationships while consistently achieving sales goals. The Specialist will ensure a premium shopping experience, from initial greeting and consultation to precise measurements, wardrobe building, and post-sale follow-up.
Key Responsibilities:
Exceptional Customer Service:
Greet and engage customers warmly, creating a welcoming and personalized shopping environment. Actively listen to customer needs, preferences, and occasions to recommend appropriate suiting, formalwear, and related accessories. Provide expert styling advice, including recommendations on shirts, ties, shoes, and other coordinating items to complete a polished look. Address customer inquiries and resolve concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring maximum satisfaction. Develop and maintain a loyal clientele through personalized outreach, follow-up, and consistent excellent service.
Product Expertise & Sales Achievement:
Possess comprehensive knowledge of Dillard’s men’s suiting and formalwear inventory, including brands, styles, fabrics, fits (e.g., classic, modern, slim), and care instructions. Accurately measure customers for suits, sport coats, dress shirts, and trousers to ensure a perfect fit. Effectively communicate product features, benefits, and current promotions to drive sales. Proactively identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling complementary merchandise. Consistently meet or exceed individual and departmental sales goals and performance metrics. Stay up-to-date on current men’s fashion trends, industry developments, and competitor offerings.
Merchandising & Store Operations:
Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing men’s suiting department, ensuring merchandise is properly displayed, sized, and ticketed. Assist with inventory management, including receiving, ticketing, stocking, and transferring merchandise as needed. Process point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately and efficiently, including sales, returns, exchanges, and special orders. Comply with all Dillard’s policies and procedures, including those related to loss prevention and inventory control. Collaborate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations and a positive customer experience.
Continuous Learning & Development:
Actively participate in product knowledge training sessions and sales meetings. Complete all required learning modules on internal platforms (e.g., Learner Mobile). Seek opportunities to enhance personal selling skills and fashion expertise.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Proven work experience (1-3 years preferred) as a retail sales associate, sales representative, or similar role, with a strong preference for experience in men’s apparel, formalwear, or luxury goods.
Skills:
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong communication skills, both verbal and active listening. Ability to accurately measure for suiting and formalwear. A keen eye for fashion, style, and fit. Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets. Basic math skills and proficiency in POS systems. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Availability:
Flexible availability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by retail business needs.
Education:

Physical Requirements:
