Your Day at Lowe’sAs aCustomer Service Associate, you will welcome customers to Lowe’sand help them find the right products and services for their homeimprovement needs. You will interact with customers throughout theday, help them find and select products, occasionally loadmerchandise, and ensure all customer needs are met.

While you willspend most of your time listening to customers, answeringquestions, and organizing merchandise, your daily responsibilitiesmay vary by department.

Customer Service Associates work in one ofthe following departments, based on hiring needs and skillsets:

Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Inside Garden,Hardware, Tools, Millwork, Building Materials, Plumbing,Electrical, Paint, Home Decor, Tool Rental, or Pro Services.

KeyResponsibilitiesWelcome customers to Lowe’s, answer questions, anddeliver friendly and professional customer service.

Assist customerswith locating and handling merchandiseDown stock merchandise bylooking for empty areas on shelves and replenishing suppliesProcessorders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandiseas expected and on timeCross-functionally train in other areas ofthe store to help deliver the best customer servicePreparemerchandise in your department based on customer needs (e.g., tintand mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cutdrywall, cut blinds)Guide customers through shopping orcheckoutComplete other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications6Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing,modifying, or outputting information6 Months Experience usingcommon retail technology, such as smart phones and tabletsReading,writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition andsubtraction)Able to perform duties that may require prolongedstanding, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform jobdutiesMinimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or withoutan accommodationPreferred Qualifications6 months of Retail and/orcustomer service experienceBi-lingual skillsCertification in traderelated to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing,electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials)Lowe’scommitment to growth and teamwork extends to the community as well.

Travel RequirementsThis role does not require regulartravel; however, this role may need to travel occasionally tomeetings, training, or to support neighboring stores.

WorkingConditionsEnvironmental factors vary by location. You may beworking in both inside and outside weather conditions. Exposure tovarying climates, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid,windy, or drafty conditions, is possible. You may be exposed toconstant or intermittent noises in addition to moving or shakingobjects and equipment.

Lifting methods vary based on role, weight,and volume. Associates must follow guidelines, limiting singlelifts to 75 pounds. Team lifts are used minimally starting at 75pounds or when needed. Powered equipment should be used asrequired, with proper training or assistance from a trainedcoworker.
