Full Job Description Job Summary:

Members of the retail team deliver warm Ruby Falls hospitality by expertly assisting guests with purchases, locating merchandise, maintaining organization and cleanliness of designated areas. In addition to welcoming guests to retail areas, team members answer a wide variety of guest questions about retail items, special events, Ruby Falls, and the Chattanooga area. The team follows company safety policies and business procedures.

Work with a computerized point of sales program. Assist customers with purchases. Compute sales prices, total purchases and receive/process payment. Maintain cleanliness of shop area. Complete opening and closing duties as needed. Effectively communicate with people of all backgrounds. Provide friendly customer service with meets the company’s expectations and guidelines. Immediately acknowledge and greet guests. Accept payment and provide accurate change. Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies. Effectively communicate with admissions team, maintenance, and management regarding areas of concern. Check areas for spills or fallen merchandise. Identity customer needs and answer product related questions. Stock and tag merchandise as needed. Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

Stand for an 8 hour shift Lift and carry up to 40 pounds Ability to grasp, press, push, pull to perform essential duties Bend, reach, and stoop

Educational and Other Requirements:

Must be available to work weekends and holidays. Previous retail or customer service experience helpful, but not required. Must be able to add, subtract, and provide accurate change. Ability to read, write, interpret, and respond to necessary documents. Ability to speak and communicate effectively with customers. Ability to work with minimum amount of supervision.
