Counter Sales Associate – Automotive/Tire Shop (Local Facility)
Location:
Knoxville, TN Pay:
$16.00/hr
Schedule:
Full-time | Monday-Friday (some Saturdays may be required) Are you passionate about cars, friendly with customers, and great at multitasking? A local automotive facility and tire shop is looking for a motivated and reliable Counter Sales Associate to join their team!
Position Summary:
The Counter Sales Associate will be the face of the business, providing exceptional service to walk-in customers, answering phone inquiries, and supporting the sales and service team with inventory and order coordination. The ideal candidate will have experience in auto parts or tire sales, a positive attitude, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers in person and over the phone in a friendly, professional manner Assist customers in selecting tires, parts, and services based on their needs Provide price estimates and explain product/service options Process sales transactions and invoices accurately Maintain and update inventory, including checking availability and ordering parts Coordinate with technicians and service staff to ensure timely service delivery Keep the front counter area clean, organized, and stocked with promotional materials
Qualifications:
Prior experience in automotive/tire sales or customer service preferred Knowledge of automotive systems, tires, and parts is a
REQUIRED!
Comfortable using point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory tools Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally High school diploma or equivalent
