Position Summary:

We are hiring a Sales & Operations Support Associate to join our Knoxville branch. This is a hybrid role with a strong emphasis on inside sales responsibilities, including quoting, sales order entry, purchase order management, and customer engagement. The role will also support light warehouse functions and occasional deliveries. It’s a great opportunity for a recent graduate looking to grow in a fast-paced, hands-on industrial sales environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inside Sales & Customer Engagement (Primary Focus)

  • Generate and send quotes, enter sales and purchase orders.
  • Coordinate with vendors to source products, check lead times, and place purchase orders.
  • Follow up on open orders and ensure timely fulfillment and communication with customers.
  • Support outside sales reps with inside account management and reporting.
  • Proactively reach out to prospective and existing customers via phone, email, and other channels to promote our products and services. 2. Warehouse & Delivery Support (Secondary Focus)
  • Receive incoming shipments and update inventory as needed.
  • Assist with light warehouse duties including order picking, labeling, staging, and packaging.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. 3. Team & Process Support
  • Collaborate closely with inside sales, outside sales, and warehouse team members.
  • Support improvement initiatives for order accuracy, responsiveness, and service quality.
  • Participate in inventory counts and process improvement projects.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or associate degree with relevant experience.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a desire to solve problems and build relationships.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and order entry systems.
  • Eagerness to learn industrial products and solutions.
  • Honesty and integrity.
