About Us:
Honey Rock Books and Cafe is a new two-story bookstore cafe opening this summer in the heart of Gallatin’s historic square. We’re creating a space where books, culture, and great food come together—warm, welcoming, and full of life. As a family-run business rooted in Christian values, we’re building a space that reflects kindness, integrity, compassion, and community. We aim to offer an atmosphere that feels like home—one that welcomes families, sparks meaningful conversation about literary works, and encourages creativity and connection. The Bookstore Our space features a thoughtfully curated book collection, cozy seating, and a cafe inspired by South Florida culture—serving Cuban coffee, pastries, and international bites. Together, it’s a place where stories are shared—whether on the page or across the table. The bookstore will also host various events, including live music, author signings, and homeschool activities.
Who We’re Looking For:
We’re hiring Booksellers to help build and run the bookstore side of Honey Rock. This role is ideal for someone who loves books and people while keeping things organized, inviting, and aligned with our mission. You’ll help with book inventory management, make book recommendations, check out customer orders, organize displays, and help us shape a space that inspires curiosity, community, and meaningful conversations.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers and offer friendly, helpful service Assist guests in finding titles across genres and age groups Work the register/POS system and handle transactions accurately Receive, organize, and restock books and merchandise Help with book displays, signage, and store layout upkeep Support community events, book clubs, and seasonal promotions Collaborate with café staff to create a seamless guest experience Maintain a tidy, peaceful, and family-friendly atmosphere

Requirements:
1+ years of bookstore or library experience Strong organizational and communication skills Eye for curation—knowing what to stock and how to display it Self-starter who takes initiative and works well independently Friendly, respectful, and welcoming
Bonus Points:
Event support or community engagement experience Familiarity with faith-based, wholesome, or family-oriented content is a plus Bilingual (Spanish/English) Interest in literature, homeschooling, or youth programs
