Sales Associate – Outdoor Power Equipment Sumner Outdoor 1270 South Water Avenue, Gallatin, TN 37066 Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at Sumner Outdoor, a leading dealer in outdoor power equipment. The ideal candidate will assist both residential and commercial customers in selecting the right equipment for their needs, with a primary focus on lawnmowers and related products. This is a front-line sales position that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn and apply product knowledge and pricing programs.

Responsibilities:

Greet customers, assess their needs, and recommend appropriate products Explain features and benefits of lawnmowers and other outdoor power equipment Provide quotes and process sales using our point-of-sale system Learn and apply manufacturer discounts, financing options, and promotional programs Maintain product knowledge of current inventory and new arrivals Follow up with leads and ensure exceptional customer service before, during, and after the sale Assist with showroom organization and restocking as needed Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and customers Perform basic math for pricing, financing, and discounts

Requirements:

Prior sales experience required; outdoor power equipment or lawnmower sales experience is a strong plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Basic math and computer skills Ability to quickly learn product features, software systems, and promotional programs Must be dependable, self-motivated, and customer-service oriented High school diploma or equivalent required Preferred Skills (not required): Experience in equipment dealerships or power equipment industry Familiarity with brands such as Exmark, Cub Cadet, Redmax Bilingual skills a plus
