As an Opener, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient start to the day’s operations. You will be responsible for preparing the store for customers, managing inventory, and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires strong communication skills and a passion for retail sales, making it ideal for individuals who thrive in a dynamic environment. Duties Open the store promptly and prepare it for daily operations, ensuring all areas are clean and organized. Conduct inventory checks and restock shelves as needed to maintain product availability. Operate the cash register and manage POS transactions accurately while providing excellent customer service. Engage with customers to assist with inquiries, provide product demos, and promote upselling opportunities. Utilize retail math to ensure accurate pricing and inventory management. Maintain knowledge of store products and promotions to effectively communicate with customers. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance the overall shopping experience. Qualifications Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele. Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems is an advantage. Basic knowledge of retail math to assist in inventory management and pricing accuracy. Ability to perform product demonstrations and engage customers in upselling techniques. A proactive attitude towards stocking shelves and maintaining store appearance is essential.
