They work with the Store Manager to delegate tasks to store employees, manage personnel and training, company initiatives from upper management. They also collaborate with the General Manager and teams to provide a welcoming, positive, and efficient experience to customers. Assistant Manager Duties Excellent verbal communication, and the ability to convey information clearly and effectively Excellent delegator and mediator Great interpersonal skills and customer service Quick decision-making and problem-solving abilities Excellent time management Responsible, goal oriented and organized Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask Ability to take direction from individuals in higher-level positions Able to manage and motivate others Manage and operate store when General Manager is off Interact with customers and resolve complaints or grievances Supervise and train staff Job Requirements Standing and walking for long periods of time Lifting up to 30 lbs Repetitive use of hands and arms Frequent bending, reaching and pulling items up to 30lbs Daily inventories to ensure par levels are maintained Cash handling and cash accountability Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate with staff, Assistant General Manager,and General Manager Qualifications and Education Requirements High School diploma or equivalent Previous Assistant Manager experience preferred •Please note that this job description is meant to give a basic understanding of the position and does not cover every job or responsibility.
