Muscle Shoals – Body Shop Manager – Full Time LL Shoals 2800 Woodward Avenue, Muscle Shoals, AL 35661 Long-Lewis Auto Group, a respected leader in the automotive industry known for its commitment to quality and exceptional customer service, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Body Shop Manager . This critical leadership role is responsible for the comprehensive oversight of our state-of-the-art Body Shop operations. The successful candidate will ensure all repair work adheres to the highest quality standards, is completed efficiently within established timeframes, and aligns seamlessly with both customer and insurance expectations. This position demands a professional who can cultivate a high-performing team, optimize workflow, and uphold our reputation for excellence in collision repair. Key Responsibilities Direct and supervise all Body Shop personnel, ensuring consistent achievement of productivity, efficiency, and quality benchmarks. Strategically monitor repair schedules and workflows to meet stringent deadlines and effectively manage customer expectations. Facilitate clear and professional communication with insurance adjusters and customers regarding repair approvals, estimates, timelines, and ongoing updates. Ensure meticulous adherence of all repair work to manufacturer specifications and comprehensive safety regulations. Maintain precise and organized records of all repairs, parts orders, and customer interactions. Provide leadership in training, support, and evaluation of team members, fostering a high-performance, customer-centric culture. Contribute to estimating processes , conduct rigorous quality control checks, and oversee customer satisfaction follow-ups as necessary. Enforce company policies rigorously and champion a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; tech training or certifications preferred 3+ years of management in a high-volume collision/body shop Valid driver’s license with clean record Strong technical knowledge of body repair and refinishing Proven leadership in fast-paced environments Clear communication and customer service skills Professional, solution-focused attitude
Work Environment:
Fast-paced repair facility with hands-on oversight of shop operations. Frequent interaction with technicians, customers, vendors, and insurance reps. Physical activity includes standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
Compensation:
Base salary + % of selling gross + CSI bonus. Flexible and negotiable based on experience.
