To assist in the supervision and efficient operation of the Child Nutrition Program

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition/Dietetics, Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field Two (2) years of supervisory experience in food service NRA ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certified Knowledge and understanding of federal/state laws pertaining to the National School Lunch Program Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills Ability to proficiently use current technology to communicate, to manage data, and to produce/submit required reports, correspondence, and/or financial information Ability to work effectively in a team environment Strong interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication skills Ability to establish credibility with numerous constituents, effectively manage sensitive personnel issues, and effectively work with others Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner Ability to meet suitability criteria under the Alabama Child Protection Act of 1999 and Act No. 2002-457 Such alternatives to the above qualifications as state, federal, and local law and the Board may require

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Demonstrates support for and clearly articulates the District’s vision, mission, goals, and priorities Demonstrates support for the school system and its vision, mission, goals, and priorities Oversees the day-to-day operations of a child nutrition program (CNP), ensuring efficient food production, distribution, and compliance with all health and safety regulations while managing staff and maintaining quality standards within the cafeteria setting Assists the CNP Director in developing and implementing professional development for CNP employees Assists with school site CNP Audits Assists CNP Director with applicant interviews Participates in state and local in-service training to maintain and grow in professional proficiency Adheres to local Board policies, administrative procedures, and other like directives, as well as state, federal, and local laws Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Director This job description describes the general nature and level of work performed by employees assigned to this position.
