Gourmet Retail Store Manager Peppertree Steaks N’ Wines 2459 East Glenn Avenue, Auburn, AL 36830 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our gourmet food store. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales, managing staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service. This role requires strong leadership skills and a passion for retail management, along with the ability to recruit, train, and develop team members to achieve store goals. Duties Lead and motivate the store team to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customer service. Oversee recruiting efforts to build a strong team of employees who align with the company’s values. Manage payroll processes and ensure accurate scheduling to optimize labor costs. Develop training programs for staff to enhance their skills in sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer engagement. Utilize retail math to analyze sales data, manage inventory control, and make informed decisions regarding stock levels and product displays. Implement effective merchandising strategies to maximize product visibility and drive sales. Maintain a clean, organized store environment that reflects the brand’s image and enhances the shopping experience. Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction. Requirements Proven experience in retail management or a similar role is preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of inventory control processes and retail math principles. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer interaction.
