Leads assessment and accreditation and assists with certification activities related to initial and advanced education programs, including Educational Preparation Program (EPP) and Department level accreditation and assessment reporting responsibilities. Assists with reviewing and monitoring certification and licensing policies and share information with all stakeholders. Performs all duties in full support of the University’s mission, understanding that the positive and effective execution of these duties are instrumental to the education of the University’s students. Hiring Range Budgeted starting hourly rate is $20 to $24.75, depending upon experience

Key Responsibilities Assessment:

Responsible for identifying, establishing, and maintaining smooth functioning of the EPP data management systems (e.g., VIA, GoReact, etc.) Serve as the primary lead in the department with all software used by the department for assessment. This will include regular monitoring of the assessment system each semester to ensure course key assessments are accurate and up-to-date. Lead assessment system training and provide individual training to full-time and part-time faculty, staff, students, cooperating teachers, and University Supervisors. Develop training materials to meet with needs all stakeholders, create user accounts and run reports within the online assessment system as necessary and/or appropriate. Liaison with development firms (VIA, GoReact) to ensure that the Department has adopted all key features of the assessment system and if required work with the firm to setup a system that will work best for all stakeholders. Establish, cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with internal constituents in an effort to support the innovative use of assessment instruments. Researches and recommend best practice processes/protocols in the assessment process. Collect, organize, analyze and disseminate assessment instruments to internal and external constituents as appropriate. Serve as the Department Title II and edTPA coordinator and attend all meetings and trainings organized by the ETS, CSDE, and Pearson. Complete the Annual Title II report and roster of students. Facilitate and lead Department Data Review Meetings and Retreats that focus on Assessment and Accreditation. Lead data review meeting with clinical partners that focus on continued program improvement. Consolidate Program and University and ELO data from across programs. Provides assistance, collaboration and oversight to assessment and testing activities for the Department/College in an effort to support a culture of data-informed decision-making related to student learning outcomes and administrative effectiveness. Monitor assessment timelines in an effort to comply with established timeframes for plan completion.

Accreditation:

Lead data collection efforts and collaborate with the Department Chair to writing the CAEP Annual Report. Spearhead the CAEP accreditation process and work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and administrators to complete the variety of complex tasks necessary to maintain institutional and specialized accreditations. Work closely and collaboratively with collegiate staff, program directors and other University units, assisting in the identification, collection, organization, materials and evidence documentation processes. Draft, prepare, review and/or edit self-study report and associated reports for the accreditation process which may include, but are not limited to, unit-wide and program-specific reports against standards as well as full program evaluations and assessments. Assists with data display and set up of virtual evidence room for program reports and/or reviews. Collaborate with accreditation leadership (across colleges and programs) to collect and analyze data, and write required reports. Communicate with CAEP, ETS, CSDE, and Pearson to ensure the Department has updated information. Communicate with Departments across colleges updated information received from the State and CAEP. Strengthen relationships with clinical partners to determine needs and engage in continuous program improvement. Use of Banner, Compass, VIA, GoReact, and other University adopted platforms to run reports and support the Department as required to facilitate continuous program improvement.

Certification:

Represent the Department at the State Certification Officer meetings and attend conferences and professional development relevant to program improvement and accreditation (CAEP Annual conference, AACTE annual conference, Watermark Conference). Collaborate with the program faculty to ensure that programs are aligned to current State Regulations for certification. Collaborate with Department Chair and Coordinator of Clinical Experiences to ensure student teaching, practicum, and field work experiences are aligned to department standards and meets State regulations for certification. Write, review, share, and monitor implementation of Student Teaching and Certification policies. Assist with continuous improvement efforts to streamline the certification application, collection and review process and communicate certification requirements to faculty and students. Collaborate with Department Chair and Program Directors across schools and colleges to create clear policies to streamline the process for programs and students.
