Shop Manager Role :

We are seeking a Fabrication Shop Manager tojoin our team at our Structural Steel Fab shop. This role ispivotal in overseeing the fabrication processes for variousconstruction projects, ensuring quality control and efficiency inall operations. The ideal candidate will contribute significantlyto maintaining project timelines by communicating daily withProject Managers, this individual will be able to keep a highmorale within the shop employees, and must have a high attention todetail, as well as excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities Manage and oversee all fabrication operations toensure timely project completion. Coordinate with project managersto understand project specifications and requirements. Supervisefabrication staff, providing guidance and training as needed.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standardsduring all fabrication processes. Maintain equipment and tools,ensuring they are in good working condition. Implement efficientfabrication techniques to optimize productivity and reduce waste.

Monitor inventory levels of materials and supplies necessary forfabrication. Requirements Proven experience in a fabricationmanagement role within the construction industry. Strong mechanicalknowledge with hands-on experience in welding, metalworking, andfit-ups. Familiarity with operating power tools and machinery suchas press brake machines. Excellent leadership skills with theability to manage a team effectively. Strong problem-solving skillsand attention to detail. Ability to read blueprints and technicaldrawings proficiently.
