The position will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:

• Maintains a leadership role within the department
• Recommends for hire, trains and supervises all colleagues in the Dietary department
• Ensure department operates within budget and in accordance with performance standards
• Establish policies and procedures to ensure accurate use of supplies and CLH equipment (additional duties). Ability to work with appropriate supervision and maintain a high level of performance
• Ability to spend extended amount of time in one place cooking or cleaning over hot stove
• Prioritization and time management skills
• Working quickly without compromising quality
• Patient, colleague and visitor oriented
• Adhere strictly to hospital rules regarding health and safety standards Managerial experience required; ability to train and supervise dietary support personnel.
