Description Job Description Summary:
In anticipation of the January 2026 award of the Air Combat Command (ACC) Primary Training Ranges Operations, Maintenance, and Support contract, Westech International, Inc. is seeking experienced Site Managers for Bombing and Gunnery Ranges at multiple locations nationwide. Bombing and Gunnery Range Site Managers will oversee day-to-day range operations and ensure all training activities meet mission standards for safety, quality, and compliance. This role serves as the primary on-site point of contact and liaison with government personnel and is responsible for managing staff, access control, emergency response, and reporting across the various Primary Training Ranges (PTRs) managed by the Air Combat Command (ACC).
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily operations at Primary Training Ranges (PTRs), including Bombing and Gunnery Ranges, Electronic Warfare Sites (EWS), and Electronic Warfare Ranges (EWR).
Maintain current personnel rosters, implement training and security programs, and ensure compliance with safety and conservation protocols.
Serve as the primary point of contact with government personnel. Must be available within 2 hours during and after scheduled hours for consultations.
Provide and manage access lists for base entry through the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).
Authorized to close sites due to extreme weather or safety concerns, coordinating closures with the Range Operating Agency (ROA).
Attend weekly operations meetings to brief on range activities, safety, and special operations.
Ensure adherence to Department of Defense (DoD), Air Combat Command (ACC), and other military regulations. Prepare reports and documentation as required.
Requirements Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing DoD aircraft training ranges.
Prior experience as a Range Control Officer or equivalent.
Experience in military or civilian air operations management.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Hold an active DoD Secret Clearance.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong understanding of DoD, ACC, AFSOC, and USASOC mission operations and range regulations.
Working knowledge of DoD range operations and safety standards.
Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
Proficient in USAF databases and Microsoft Office Suite.
Able to work in high-pressure and sensitive environments.
Capable of independent decision-making and emergency response.
Physical Demands:
Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
Stand, walk, twist, bend, and squat for extended periods.
Climb up to 120 feet in height in a reasonable time.
Work in environments with exposure to heat/cold, noise, dust, mist, or fumes.
Must possess normal hearing and a clear English-speaking voice.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior military experience or work on a military range.
Familiarity with DoD range safety and environmental compliance.
Experience with scheduling software and range communications systems.
