Role Summary:
The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) at Eden supports the Store Manager in all aspects of daily dispensary operations, helping to ensure a seamless, compliant, and patient-centered experience. This leadership role focuses on driving sales, overseeing team development, maintaining inventory, ensuring compliance, engaging with the local community, and upholding a culture of safety and integrity. The ASM plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, well-managed, and performance-driven retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the store manager in managing day-to-day store operations, including scheduling, delegation, and execution of tasks. Guide patients through Eden’s product offerings based on wellness goals, symptoms, and preferences ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Mentor, train, and motivate team members to provide exceptional patient service and meet KPIs. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and performance-based team culture. Manage inventory processes including ordering, receiving, audits, inventory counts, and stock level tracking. Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues and complaints with professionalism and empathy. Drive sales performance and operational efficiency through data-informed decision-making. Develop in-store processes to ensure safety, compliance, and efficiency in workflows. Participate in community outreach efforts to promote Eden’s mission and expand patient awareness. Assist in the creation of local promotional strategies and event planning coordination, including on-site and off-site engagements to attract new patients and retain existing ones. Assist in budgeting and sales forecasting to support achievement of financial goals. Maintain clean and visually appealing merchandise displays and store layout. Ensure consistent adherence to all safety protocols, company SOPs, and state cannabis compliance regulations across all retail and storage areas.
Qualifications:
Must be 21+ years of age and possess a valid government-issued ID. Must be able to pass and clear a Level II background screening and pre-employment drug screening. A passion for alternative medicine and holistic health practices. 2+ years of leadership experience in retail, customer service, or regulated industries. Strong organizational, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills. Keen attention to detail and an eye for aesthetics. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and professional demeanor. Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and lead effectively in a dynamic environment. Proficient in POS systems, inventory software, and basic Microsoft Office tools. Open availability to work varied hours and cover staffing needs including mornings, evenings, weekends, cannabis centered days such as 4/20 and 7/10, and other holidays. Knowledge of cannabis products and state compliance regulations (preferred or will train).
Physical Requirements:
Must have the ability to stand for extended periods, exceeding 4 hours. Ability to bend, sit, and stand continuously during assigned shifts. Capable of independently lifting 30 pounds. Comfortable carrying out duties that may involve physical exertion in a busy retail environment.
