POSITION OUTLINE

In this role, you’ll support the daily operations of the Goodwill Good Neighbor Center (GGC) by leading team members, promoting a safe and compliant environment, and ensuring exceptional donor and customer service. Working under the supervision of the GGC TLC (Team Leader Coach), you’ll help manage staffing, compliance, reporting, and operational excellence while upholding Goodwill’s mission, Core Values, and Guiding Principles.

Essential Functions:

Promote open, honest communication and a safe, drug-free, and respectful workplace aligned with Goodwill’s zero-tolerance policies and Core Values. Deliver exceptional customer service while ensuring proper handling, processing, and stewardship of donations. Support hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management of team members under the direction of the TLC. Assist with budgeting, payroll management, inventory control, and expense tracking to meet financial targets. Oversee day-to-day operations including cash handling, safety inspections, supply ordering, reporting (e.g., WESA, PLU, TANDR), and facility maintenance requests. Maintain compliance with CARF standards and internal policies, and ensure safety, cleanliness, and loss prevention across the GGC. Stay informed on product trends and pricing through market analysis, and participate in training or community events as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by the

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of two years of management or supervisory experience in a business or retail setting preferred. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with common software applications.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be available to open the store a minimum of two times per week, including a mandatory requirement to open at least once weekly. Must also be available to close the store at least twice per week, with a mandatory requirement to close at least once weekly. Each ATL must both open and close the store on at least two separate days per week. This position is classified as safety-sensitive and requires successful completion of drug testing. Must have a reliable means of transportation. This role may require access to facility keys and alarm systems. Must be able to bend, reach, and stand for extended periods, and lift up to forty (40) pounds. Heavier items may require team-assisted lifting. Must be able to perform repetitive tasks such as tagging or hanging clothing; manual dexterity is required.
