Actors’ Playhouse is an award-winning nonprofit regional professional theatre company celebrating 35 years of artistic excellence. Located in the historic Miracle Theatre on Miracle Mile in downtown Coral Gables, Actors’ Playhouse is a Florida Presenting Cultural Organization and one of 13 major cultural institutions in Miami-Dade County. The company produces five Mainstage and four professional Children’s Theatre productions annually Job Description A minimum of two years of scenic costume experience Familiarity of theatrical and/or entertainment working environments Demonstrated sewing skills ability to make costume alterations ability to work later or early hour to take care of laudry after shows Team-oriented mindset and interest in maintaining a collaborative work environment Ability to work independently computer skills to return item for manager as needed and to manage receipts Strong attention to detail while on tight deadlines Ability to remain flexible and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment Weekend or evening availability occasionally required Experience reading technical drawings Ability to climb ladders or stairs and stand or move for long periods of time Aptitude for learning and operating in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude Ability to safely move heavy objects (20+ lbs. regularly, 50+ lbs. occasionally) .
